Frequently Asked Questions

In order to better help you I have compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions. Please contact me if you still cannot find the answer that you are looking for.

How much does it cost to work with you?

1

It is a good question as everyone likes to know how much different services cost. The cost of my services always depend on the specific project, because all of them are different. The price of creating a new website depends on a number of factors. If you have a project in mind, please contact me and I will create a price quote for you considering all the information provided.

What services do you offer?

2

I have specialized in the design of responsive websites, web-based user interfaces, and web applications. Apart from this I have a strong basis in front-end development so I can code 100% W3C valid HTML5 and CSS3. I rarely do offline, print design jobs. If you are interested in my services, please check them out on this page.

Could you describe yourself in a few words?

3

My name is Szabolcs Bakos, I am an award winning freelance web designer. I have more than 10 years of experience in the design of web interfaces, with a special focus on clean responsive websites and web interfaces. If you have any further questions about me or my work, you can get more information here.

Do you work at a fixed fee or on an hourly basis?

4

I usually work at a fixed fee. I start all projects by finding out the exact needs and provide a quote afterwards. Hourly rates are also possible, especially when I work for agency projects or teams as an external expert.

What advance do you require usually?

5

I usually require 50% of costs to be paid before the launch of the project. The remaining 50% of project costs is settled if the client agrees that the project has been completed. Digital source files are sent to the client after all costs have been settled.

Why do you need an advance payment?

6

The advance ensures that I can spend enough time on the project. It also facilitates closer cooperation regarding the project between the client and me. I do not work on projects without an advance.

Do you work for agencies?

7

Of course. I offer freelance design and front-end services for agencies.
Are you an agency looking for a design expert? Please do not hesitate to contact me.

What do you need to start a project?

8

If it is a web design project, I need a brief, wireframes, project-related graphics files, and a deadline. In case of front-end development I need the brief and the PSD files to chop up.

How can we keep in contact with you?

9

Via email, of course. Once we have agreed on contract conditions, I am also available for my clients on Skype.

What is your work process in a project?

10

My work phases are as follows:
Project brief > An estimate > 50% advance payment > Research and brainstorming > Design and/or development > Presentation > Tweaks and revisions > Product delivery > Final 50% payment.

Do you work alone?

11

I always do design jobs and go through the planning process personally. If the project requires greater capacity or more staff, it is not a problem as I am in contact with the best professionals and expert freelancers available.

How much free capacity do you have?

12

My free capacity is always changing. In order to provide high quality, I work on a limited number of projects at the same time. Please contact me to find out how much available capacity I have at the moment.

What kind of orders do you refuse?

13

I rarely do ”emergency” jobs or projects that must be started immediately. I only take on jobs started and interrupted by other people in exceptional cases. I do not work on websites including gambling or adult contents. I do not work on Flash programming and I do not produce banners.

Do you have a project?
