I know quite a few designers who can make really good designs, however, they cave in when the client orders a new design project since they can work only from stolen materials. Others, in contrast, get stuck with a kind of style from which they are unable to get rid of.
If you are a webdesigner or a webdesigner-wannabe I can provide you with a couple of useful tips that you'd better take.
You have a nice set of compilation here. I knew few of the points listed above. But I did also learn from few other points listed above, like using H1 for logo.
Thanks mate.
Love your site I’m inspired. Hey shades is a must I agree I like the way you think bro, keep up the good work - i got you listed under inspiration
Hi bro,
Good job,
we are nothing after go through your website.
please send some newsletter for make me a good designer.
its pleasure for me…........
Nice tips.
I disagree with the <H1> for logo, since H1 should be reserved for your first major heading - which is not your company branding.
Nice list, but I disagree with this tip : “Do not listen if you get criticised”.
You must learn to listen every comments, bad or good if you want to be a good designer. How can you improve your style or your technique if you only listen at good comments.
Hey mate!
Great blog you have here. I have a question though. What’s “H1 for logo”?
# Do not listen if you get criticised
Why would I do that? I find constructive criticism is very useful, I wouldn’t be at the level I am today without it.
# Use proportional black and white wireframes when planning your site structure
Could you show an example of this? I’m curious.
# Do not listen if you get criticised
The thing is, that you sometimes have to listen to criticism, but there are certain times when you’d better not. The problem is that it is hard to know when to listen. To be more accurate, I think you always have to listen, but sometimes you should not act upon it. Sometimes you just have to follow your instinct.
This guy did not listen to criticism, and he was right. How did he know? He had proof, but others did not wish to see the truth. Sad, but instructive: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ignaz_Semmelweis
Thank you guys! Of course I will make new tips in the future.
